I’ve been taking piano lessons at The Music Studio for over a year now, and I’m so impressed with my progress. The instructors are professional and make learning fun. I never thought I’d be playing like this!

Katherine Ramseyer is a talented pianist and an exceptional piano instructor. My daughter has been taking lessons with her for over a year now and the progress she has made in that short period of time has been amazing. Not only has she progressed in her piano technique, but with musicality in mind. Katherine is able to teach those little details…that little extra something that transforms the pieces my daughter is learning into something special. When the global pandemic caused Ontario to “shutdown”, Katherine was very quick to transition from in-person to live stream lessons. She is well equipped for online teaching. The platform she uses for lessons is easy to use. Video quality is great and the audio quality is amazing with virtually no latency between the student and teacher. Also, she is able to annotate sheet music in real time. To help organize what is being taught, she uses Tonara to document notes, to guide and motivate the student to practice. My daughter finds this all very helpful. With piano lessons going online, I can truly appreciate how organized Katherine is and how much effort she puts into her students. You really need patience, strong communication skills and a great ear to teach online! Every lesson has been a positive and encouraging learning environment for my daughter. I myself have had many years of piano lessons, with several different piano instructors and I can truly say that I am grateful to have found Katherine. My daughter really enjoys playing the piano under her guidance and that’s important. I highly recommend the Katherine Ramseyer Piano Studio to anyone pursuing instruction.

My wife and I contacted Kingsway School of Music a year ago to enroll our kids in piano classes. Immediately the entire team and staff were responsive, helpful, and kind. Ms. Amy runs an incredible school. One we are proud to be a part of and see our kids be a part of. They are not only learning music, but social skills, kindness, respect, and most importantly a love for music. I can’t recommend Orrett highly enough if you’re looking for a nurturing place for your kids to explore and develop their musical talents. My 10 year old daughter has been a student there for about five years now, and it’s been so rewarding to witness her passion for music blossom under the guidance of Dave and his incredible team of teachers. From the very first lesson, it was clear the instructors at Orrett truly love what they do and are committed to sparking that same joy in their students. Their lessons are always creative and fun while still challenging students to progress at her own pace. Dave clearly pours his soul into making sure this is a supportive, inspiring place for both aspiring musicians and those just starting out. All the teachers are fantastically skilled, yet remain so humble and patient. They truly care about understanding each child and customizing lessons to individual strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles. I can’t recommend Orrett highly enough. It’s the perfect environment for nurturing early passion into a lifelong love of creativity. Five years in, and my daughter walked in a few weeks ago and quietly said under her breath, “this is my happy place!” The school’s infectious dedication to the musical development of each student is really something special.

My son has been taking piano lessons for 3 years at DCAM. He started when he was 6 and has made a lot of progress. He is proud to have passed RCM 1 and he is now working on RCM 2. We love Da Capo because his teacher (Taisiya) is very supportive and teaches him different techniques in friendly manner. The rest of the staff is very friendly too, they try to accommodate our schedule when possible. Our son gets motivated to practice as he receives points that he can exchange for treats!!! We really enjoy the recitals as he gets to play in front of an audience, it has now become a tradition for grandma and grandpa to attend. We would definitely recommend DCAM!!

Cannot recommend the baby piano clases enough. Amy & Joel are a wonderful duo to run the classes. The kids get exposed to different instruments and not just the piano. Creative, age appropriate and engaging activities and beautiful musical stories during each class. My daughter loved it so much, we did two terms back to back. Thank you Amy & Joel and we will see you again in the Fall!

My daughter has been receiving her piano lessons here for 7 years and have progressed through the exams over the years. They have very good and qualified piano teachers here and the they are flexible to accommodate your time. Easy to communicate with the owner, and the lessons cost is reasonable. It’s a small academy, but they offer many types of music lessons. If you are looking for music lessons around the area, try them out!
