Trala joins the band!

We’re excited to share that Trala, one of the world’s leading violin learning apps, is now part of Learnfield GmbH, the company behind the popular piano platform Skoove. With this step, we’re bringing two powerful music learning experiences under one roof, and opening up new possibilities for learners everywhere.

Trala has helped over 800,000 violinists across the globe grow their skills through innovative technology and lessons designed by world-class musicians. Now, backed by Learnfield’s expertise in music education and digital growth, Trala is poised to take the next step in its journey.

A shared mission: making music learning more accessible

At Learnfield, our goal has always been to help people unlock their musical potential — no matter where they’re starting from. That’s why this partnership is such a natural fit.

Trala will continue to offer its well-loved curriculum, with real-time feedback, interactive sheet music, and lessons guided by some of the most respected violinists in the world. Learners can also look forward to exciting updates, including access to a growing library of licensed songs and enhanced features that make the learning experience even more engaging.

As Florian Plenge, co-founder and CEO of Learnfield, puts it:

“We’re thrilled to welcome Trala into our portfolio. We believe this is a great step forward in bringing high-quality music learning to even more people around the world.”

What’s next for Trala

With Learnfield’s support, Trala will continue to grow, both in content and reach. Our team will invest in expanding Trala’s learning experience while exploring new ways to serve musicians of all ages and skill levels. This includes building new partnerships within the violin space, integrating Trala more deeply into the Learnfield ecosystem, and developing bundled experiences for families who want to explore music together.

The app will also benefit from Learnfield’s technology stack, including industry-leading pitch detection and music licensing capabilities, tools that have already helped millions of learners progress with Skoove.

Sam Walder, co-founder of Trala, shares in the excitement:

“Our mission has always been to make world-class music education accessible to everyone. With Learnfield’s experience and passion for music learning, we can now reach new heights and serve even more aspiring violinists around the world.”
